At the beginning of April Hannah started horse lessons at the Flying M stable. Jared says she is the happiest girl in the world there and completely in her element. It means so much to me and makes me so happy to be able to give her the dream of her heart. Jared took her to look at used helmets this week. He was so pleased to find a helmet at a third of the price we expected that he told Hannah she could pick out a shirt as well. She decided on a flannel shirt with fringe...used, for $3.75. She says she is a cowgirl kind of horse girl, not the "fancy" (hunt seat/jumper) kind. : ) She also spent her own money on a beautiful little toy horse and a "cowgirl bracelet." After 3 weeks of learning horse anatomy and terminology, grooming and leading skills, Hannah will be riding next week. She has reminded me of this fact often the last few days. : ) She is so excited and so in love, as only a little girl can be, with horses.
Hannah's teacher is Ms. Joanne and her classmate is Camilla. This week she had a substitute instructor while Ms. Joanne was out of town.
She took this pic of the moon and the countryside on the way home from the stable...
...and this pic of her Daddy's view from the front seat. : )
