Happy Easter!

During our Saturday afternoon shopping, the weekend before Easter, Hannah and Benjamin had a wonderful, unplanned visit with an Easter bunny. It more than made up for the bummer of a visit with the shopping mall Santa Claus in December. Ben giggled, waved, bounced up and down and held the bunny's hands, and, after taking her time to warm up and figure it all out, Hannah gave that bunny a great big hug full of love. The bunny was very kind. Hannah was talking about her for days afterwards. :)

Then, Easter weekend...Both Saturday and Sunday the weather was amazing and we got to enjoy all of our traditional festivities. Saturday afternoon we had an Easter Egg Hunt in our back yard.

After the egg hunt we headed over to the Sherman College field for kite flying in the warm spring sunshine. We flew our little delta kite, "Delta Dawn," and "Sam," the great big toucan kite from Grandma and Grandpa Stubblefield. It was a blast! When the strings of the two kites got crossed, the wind was just right for the delta to pull off some really amazing tricks. Hannah loved being able to fly the little kite all by herself!

That night, Hannah and I decorated Easter Eggs. We posed for a few "photo booth" pictures,

and then she went right to work and had a grand time.

Sunday morning we got the kiddos dressed up in their Easter clothes and headed off to Church.
Here are our Easter Angels.

This is Hannah with her Nursery pals Bryson and Madalyn.

And here are Ben and Hannie with Hannah's Nursery Leader. :)

Sunday afternoon we had Jared's home-made Cinnamon Rolls for our Easter treat and then the kids dived into Easter baskets over flowing with presents. It was wonderful and fun the whole weekend. My favorite part though was Saturday morning, cuddling up with Hannah in the recliner. We read "The Life of Jesus" in the Friend magazine. We talked about the Savior's life. We talked about the great gift that our Heavenly Father gave us in sending his Son and the love of our Savior for each of us. We talked about the Resurrection and the symbols of Easter celebration. Later in the day Hannah said to me, "Mama, Jesus love me." And I said, "That's right, He loves you very much." A few minutes later she asked, "Why he die for me?" And I said, "Because he loves you." A while after that she said, "Jesus love you too, Mama." ....I thought, this girl has got Easter all figured out.

ben has changed a lot. He's so grown up with his haircut and he's losing some baby chubs. I also think hannah looks like jared except the hair and nose are like debbie's

Isn't one of the greatest joys of being a mother is to teach you children about the Gospel? How sweet!
I love the photobooth pics. I loved seeing you as a mother of a little girl!
