Ben was looking for something to do while Hannah was working on her reading lessons. I suggested he make a solar system with play doh. So a little bit of research, lots of questions and some creative and careful crafting later, we ended up with some squishy, hand made solar systems. : )

We talked about continents, ocean and clouds. We talked about life on other planets. We talked about temperature, color and size. We talked about Pluto. We wondered if the moon orbited the earth and found out it does. : ) Happy afternoon.

Very cool planets! You'll have to se if you can stake them out late one night to see venus when it's close.
