Pitching Our Tents

Lately for Family Home Evening we've been following the Primary's monthly and weekly themes. So this month we talked about how prophets from the Bible, the Book of Mormon and the living Prophet teach us how to strengthen our families. Our Book of Mormon prophet was King Benjamin and we talked about and looked at a picture of all the people gathering around and pitching their tents to listen to the prophet. So we thought it would be fun this weekend to pitch our tents, gather our snacks and our Conference bingos and settle in for General Conference. Today was a lot of fun, the kids want to sleep in the tent tonight and we'll be ready for more Conference tomorrow! :)
Our little group of tents pitched around the computer, ready for Conference.
Conference kids!
The amazing static electricity in Grandma and Grandpa's tent!
(Thanks for letting us borrow it!! :)
Posing with their treat of Conference chewing gum.
We also did smoothies with umbrellas and popcorn. :)

Great idea. They'll never forget that story for sure.
What is it about an umbrella in a smoothie? Makes me smile every time!

Fun idea! I'm sure that made General Conference seem very special.
